What's in Frame

The Lütschine is a river in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland, known for its dramatic scenery and whitewater rafting opportunities. It flows through the stunning valleys of Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, including the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. 

Grindelwald is a charming mountain village nestled in the Bernese Oberland. It's a popular destination for winter sports enthusiasts, with excellent skiing and snowboarding conditions. In the summer, visitors can enjoy hiking, biking, and other outdoor activities. The village offers stunning views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountains, making it a perfect base for exploring the Swiss Alps.

Journey Behind the Print (A Note from Amanda)

This trip is one of my all time favorites, when people ask me where is my favorite place I’ve been, Switzerland has always been on that list. This was another tour but around all of Switzerland. Switzerland isn’t short of stunning vistas and views, as well as these really cute Swiss towns. This town is the gateway to the Jungfrau and many of the other mountains in the region. Having been here in June 2024, it doesn’t quite look like this now with all the development, but still an amazing town to visit. This glacier melt river runs through the heart of the town and is why it’s the color it is, a milky gray.

Fuji Matt Photo Paper

This archival photo paper is coated with a slightly stippled texture giving it a very natural photographic finish with subtle color. This paper has a slight sheen to it making it less reflective while still maintaining its sharpness. This paper was hand-selected for its versatility and available for all our prints and travel posters.

Pearl Gloss

Fuji Pearl Photo Paper

This archival photo paper has a rich metallic base. The colors have a reflective, metallic and 3-dimensional feel which creates a distinctive pearl-like appearance. This paper was hand-selected for our premium color prints.

Frame Details

Mats

Mat’s are cut from acid free cardboard. They are 1400 micron which is 1.4mm in thickness. The window is cut to an angle of 45°

Window Mount Color: White

Hanging Fixtures

The hanging type fixture on the reverse panel is ‘Nail hanging’. Most frames are equipped with hangers in portrait and landscape format.

Glass Materials

The majority of the frame windows are made of edge-ground float glass with a UV filter of approx. 45%. The frames are also equipped with an acid-free insert and a sturdy rear panel.

Frame Materials & Colors

Nielsen Quadrum picture frames are made in Germany from FSC®-certified wood. The wood comes from sustainably managed forests that meet the criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council. The Oak frames are solid wood from FSC®-certified sources with an Oak veneer.
