Journey Behind the Print (A Note from Amanda)

This was shot while I was on my first river cruise down the River Elbe with my mom. I remember buying my first DSLR, a Canon XTi, in 2006 on our first family international trip to London and Paris. Since then, I remember buying photography books and trying to learn everything I could about photography to get ready for this trip. Each city we stopped to was amazing and a city or town you wouldn’t really think to go to, as they were all small towns or cities along the river. Prague was on of the first stops and it was amazing to visit and learn about it’s rich history. The Charles Bridge is one I’ll never forget for not just the history but also the great view of Prague Castle.

This paper has a slight sheen to it making it less reflective while still maintaining its sharpness. Hahnemühle Pearl Fine Art Paper

This Giclée fine art paper has a smooth orange peel texture and resin coating which creates a fibrous feel and satin-like finish. The paper creates natural black and white images and gives the image the feel of an oil painting. This is our hand-selected premium paper for our black & white prints.

Mat’s are cut from acid free cardboard. They are 1400 micron which is 1.4mm in thickness. The window is cut to an angle of 45°

Hanging Fixtures

The hanging type fixture on the reverse panel is ‘Nail hanging’. Most frames are equipped with hangers in portrait and landscape format.

Glass Materials

The majority of the frame windows are made of edge-ground float glass with a UV filter of approx. 45%. The frames are also equipped with an acid-free insert and a sturdy rear panel.
