Assisi, a charming medieval town nestled on a hilltop, is the birthplace of Saint Francis. Known for its rich history and religious significance, the town offers stunning views, narrow cobblestone streets, and a variety of historic churches and monasteries. It's a popular pilgrimage site and a cultural gem in the heart of Umbria.

Journey Behind the Print (A Note from Amanda)

This was shot on my college / university graduation trip, which I choose to do instead of walking the stage. This family trip of a tour around Italy was full of many memories. Assisi was a town I didn’t even know existed. I distinctly remember waking up on the tour bus, and seeing this town on the hillside from a distance and in awe. It was just unlike anything, and was just so charming. It was quiet and peaceful, and we set out one evening and snapped this shot on the way to check out the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi.
