  • Premium Photographic Paper: Printed on Kodak Endura Silver Halide (C-type) paper, renowned in the fine-art world for its rich tonal range, deep blacks, and remarkable archival longevity.
  • Architectural Depth: Each piece features a precision-cut Double Mat. This includes a White Outer Mat paired with a Color-Matched Inner Mat (or specialized Color+Color combinations for select images) to draw the eye into the photograph.
  • Structural Integrity: Every print comes professionally mounted to a Foam Board backing, ensuring the artwork remains perfectly flat and protected within the matting.

What's in Frame

Jarlshof, located at the southern tip of the Shetland Islands, is a premier archaeological site showcasing over 4,000 years of human history, from Neolithic dwellings to Norse longhouses. This "microcosm of Shetland history" remains a preserved testament to ancient ingenuity, set within a landscape where pastoral traditions like the spring lambing season have endured for millennia. While the historic ruins stand unchanged since 2019, they continue to offer a timeless narrative of resilience and cultural evolution in one of Scotland’s most rugged environments.

Journey Behind the Print (A Note from Amanda)

I think this was when we stopped for lunch. When sheep outnumber people, that's all you see, and during this trip it was lambing season. I remember our entire tour group couldn't get enough of seeing the lambs, and each time was as if we had never seen one before. The view isn't bad either.
